On December 13, 2014, I competed in the North American Grappling Association World Championship tournament. It was held at the Nytex Sports Center in North Richmond Hills, Texas. I weighed-in at 154.2 lbs and competed in the 150 – 150.9 lb, 14 – 15 year old teen division. I won first place in both the gi and nogi divisions. On September 6, 2014, I competed in the South Texas Jiu-Jitsu Classic. At the age of 14, I competed in the adult male gi light weight (147 – 163 lb) division and the adult male nogi advanced light weight (147 – 163 lb) division. I weighed-in at 160 lbs. I won 1st place in both gi and nogi. I had two matches in each division and won all four of my matches. All four of my matches were against different competitors. On May 31, 2014 I competed in the MatShark RGV Summer Open. At the age of 14, I competed in the adult male 140-155 pound blue belt division. I weighed in at 155 pounds. I won 1st place in both the gi and nogi divisions. I won the bronze medal in the adult male nogi absolute intermediate division. In one of my nogi absolute matches I was up in points 8 to 2 against an opponent who competed in the 205 pound bracket when I was disqualified with about 5 seconds to go in the match due to a knee reap. On March 8, 2014 i competeted in the 4th Annual RGV OPEN. i weighed in at 150 pounds. Instead of fighting in my weight bracket though, I competed in the 160+ pound weight class. I won 1st place in gi and 3rd place in nogi. My first gi match, I won in about 10 seconds by a bow and arrow choke. My 2nd gi match, for the gold medal, was against a blue belt who weighed in at 203 pounds, so I was giving up 53 pounds in weight. On November 9, 2013, I competed in the MatShark Pro Jiu-Jitsu Tournament. It was held at the Marine Military Academy in Hrlingen, Texas. My weigh-in weight was 146 pounds. I competed in one age bracket above mine and one weight bracket above mine. I won 2nd place in the Gi, 1st place in Nogi, 1st place in Absolute Gi and 1st place in Absolute Nogi. Although I was only 13 years old and a green-white belt, I lost the Gi gold medal match to a 16 year old blue belt. On August 10, 2013, I competed in the MatShark RGV Pro Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships. It was held at the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, Texas. My weigh-in weight was 145 pounds. I competed in the Gi and Nogi 140 – 150 pound, 13 – 15 year old divisions. In Nogi, my division was combined with the 16 – 17 year old, 150 – 160 pound division. I fought a 17 year old from the 150 – 160 pound division for the Nogi gold medal. My first Nogi match was also against an opponent from the 16 – 17 year old 150 – 160 pound division. On April 13,2013, I competed in the 3rd Annual Rio Grande Valley Jiu-Jitsu Open. It was held at the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, Texas. My weigh-in weight was 141.8 pounds. I competed in the Gi and Nogi 155-167 pound white, yellow, orange and green belt divisions. I won first place in both Gi and Nogi. There were many medal winners from Harlingen Jiu-Jitsu Club and HJJC won the 1st place team award!
