On June 24, 2017 I competed in the NAGA Texas Championship. I was in the teen 140 lb division but competed in the adult male 140 lb purple belt divison, adult male 150 lb purple belt division and the adult male nogi expert 150 lb division. On April 24, 2016 I competed in the BFA 7 Gi World Championships. The Battle 4 The Ages Championships is a tournament designed to find the most dominant boy and girl Brazilian Jiu Jitsu player, across the country, at ages 8 thru 16, Preteen Female(10-12), Young Teen Female(13-14) and Female Teen(15-16).It is submission only tournament, no points tallied, with points for submission attempts if sudden death overtime. The matches are 6-minute matches. It is an invitational only tournament. There is no weight class. Competitors are grouped by age only. I won the 16 year old championship. I lost in the absolute finals by submission with about six seconds to go in the match. There is no second place at BFA tournaments. Continue reading »
On March 12, 2016 I competed in the MatShark RGV Pro held at the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen TX. At the age of 16 I competed in the adult male blue belt division, the adult male blue belt absolute division and the adult male expert nogi division. I won first place in all three divisions. On 12/13/2015 I competed at the NAGA World Championship 2015. This was a two day tournament. I competed and won first place in the teens expert nogi, teens expert gi division, and the adult advanced nogi division. I was registered for the adult blue belt division but had to withdraw prior to the start of it due to a leg injury.

On July 25, 2015, I competed in the Kids World Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships, the worlds largest international Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament for kids. I competed in the 16 and 17 year old blue belt middle weight divisions for both gi and no gi. The maximum weight for my gi division was 163.5 pounds and for no gi it was 158 pounds. For my gi division, I had to weigh in with my gi on, right before my first match and for my no gi division, I had to weigh in with my fight shorts and rash guard on, right before my first no gi match. I had two matches in my gi division and two matches in my no gi division. I weighed in at 153.5 pounds for no gi and 156.3 pounds for gi. Continue reading »

On January 24th, 2015, I competed in the Fight to Win Tounament of Champions 15. This tournament was held at The Zone Sports Complex in Houston, Texas. I weighed in at 152 lbs and competed in the Adult Male Blue Belt 145-154.9 lb Division, the Adult Male Intermediate Nogi 145-154.9 lb Division and the Adult Male Blue Belt Absolute Division. In Gi, I lost my first match to Roberto Jimenez then won my second, third and forth Gi matches and finished in third place. In Nogi, I won my first match, lost my second match, won my third match and lost my forth match. I did not place in Nogi. In the Adult Male Blue Belt Absolute Division, I won all three of the matches I had, finishing in first place.
