On November 9, 2013, I competed in the MatShark Pro Jiu-Jitsu Tournament. It was held at the Marine Military Academy in Hrlingen, Texas. My weigh-in weight was 146 pounds. I competed in one age bracket above mine and one weight bracket above mine. I won 2nd place in the Gi, 1st place in Nogi, 1st place in Absolute Gi and 1st place in Absolute Nogi. Although I was only 13 years old and a green-white belt, I lost the Gi gold medal match to a 16 year old blue belt.
