On August 10, 2013, I competed in the MatShark RGV Pro Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships. It was held at the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, Texas. My weigh-in weight was 145 pounds. I competed in the Gi and Nogi 140 – 150 pound, 13 – 15 year old divisions. In Nogi, my division was combined with the 16 – 17 year old, 150 – 160 pound division. I fought a 17 year old from the 150 – 160 pound division for the Nogi gold medal. My first Nogi match was also against an opponent from the 16 – 17 year old 150 – 160 pound division. I had two Gi matches. This is my first Gi match.
My opponent was put to sleep with an Ezekiel choke because he did not tap out. He was snoring and foaming at the mouth as he laid passed out on the mat.

This is my Nogi match for the gold medal. I submitted a 17 year who wrestles on a high school wrestling team with an armbar from a mounted triangle for the gold medal.
