Hi, my name is Dillan Tatum and this is my website. My favorite hobby is Jiu-Jitsu. I am 14 years old. I am in the 9th grade. I go to school at the Harlingen School of Health Professions. Two of my goals are to go to college and to be a world class Jiu-Jitsu player.

Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport and a self-defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. It promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique—most notably by applying joint-locks and choke-holds to defeat the other person. To learn more about what is Jiu-Jitsu go to this link at worldofjiujitsu.com.

I train in jiu-jitsu at Harlingen Jiu-Jitsu Club (HJJC), 211 W. Jefferson St., Suite 4. My jiu-jitsu  instructor is Jake Montalvo – he has refrereed in several televised events to include in the UFC. Between Jiu-Jitsu and school I stay pretty busy. I have competed in 15 jiu-jitsu tournaments and have won 49 matches. I have only lost one match when competing in my appropriate division. You can see most of my jiu-jitsu matches under my  Jiu-Jitsu Tournaments link under “Categories.”

Please take a look around and leave a comment.

I am looking for sponsors so I can compete in major tournnments to include the 2015 Kids World Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championship and the US Open. Please contact my dad at dan@dillan.net or 956-572-3916 if you can help sponsor me. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. Craig Comisky helped my dad make the following highlights/promotional video of me.
