Hi, my name is Dillan Tatum and this is my website. My favorite hobby is Jiu-Jitsu. I am 14 years old. I am in the 9th grade. I go to school at the Harlingen School of Health Professions. Two of my goals are to go to college and to be a world class Jiu-Jitsu player.

Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport and a self-defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. It promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique—most notably by applying joint-locks and choke-holds to defeat the other person. To learn more about what is Jiu-Jitsu go to this link at worldofjiujitsu.com.

I train in jiu-jitsu at Harlingen Jiu-Jitsu Club (HJJC), 211 W. Jefferson St., Suite 4,  Monday – Friday from 5:15 pm to 7:00 pm (and has late as 8:00 pm) and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. My jiu-jitsu  instructor is Jake Montalvo – he has refrereed in several televised events to include in the UFC. Between Jiu-Jitsu and school I stay pretty busy. I have competed in several jiu-jitsu tournaments. You can see most of my jiu-jitsu matches under my  Jiu-Jitsu Tournaments link under “Categories.”

Please take a look around and leave a comment. I will be working on this site and hope you come back to visit soon.
